Electroless Nickel Plating

Electroless Nickel Plating

Electroless nickel plating is a precision metal finishing process that applies a uniform nickel-phosphorus alloy coating to metal surfaces without the use of electricity. Components are chemically cleaned and prepared before being immersed in a controlled plating solution, where the nickel coating deposits evenly across all surfaces — including complex geometries, internal diameters, threads, and hard-to-reach areas.

This process is commonly used to improve wear resistance, corrosion protection, hardness, and surface lubricity on industrial components across hydraulic, aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, and heavy equipment applications.

Benefits of Electroless Nickel Plating
  • Uniform Coverage – Delivers consistent coating thickness on both internal and external surfaces, even on complex parts.
  • Excellent Corrosion Resistance – Protects components from moisture, chemicals, and harsh operating environments.
  • Improved Wear Resistance – Enhances durability and extends service life for high-friction or high-contact components.
  • Increased Surface Hardness – Provides a hard, smooth finish that can be heat treated for additional hardness.
  • Reduced Friction – Improves lubricity and helps reduce galling and component wear.
  • Dimensional Accuracy – Precise coating control minimizes the need for additional machining or finishing.
  • Versatile Application – Suitable for steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper alloys, and other engineered metals.

Electroless nickel plating is an ideal solution for restoring worn components, improving performance, and extending the lifespan of critical industrial equipment.
